Higher Education’s leading Constituent Relationship Management application expands Campus Management’s ecosystem
Boca Raton, Florida – November 14, 2008 – Campus Management Corp. announced today that it has finalized an agreement with nGenera Corporation and has acquired assets of its subsidiary, Talisma Corporation. The assets include nGenera’s Talisma CRM software, the Talisma Higher Education business division based in Bellevue WA, and Talisma Corporation Pvt. Ltd., an operating unit in Bangalore, India. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Talisma CRM is a leading software product for strategic enrollment management, student retention, student services, education finance, alumni relations and IT Helpdesk. Leading education organizations using Talisma CRM include Bisk Education, Duke University Fuqua School of Business, eCollege, Johnson & Wales University, Strayer University, University of Alabama, and University of Nebraska.
The parties also announced agreements that will enable Campus Management to sell, integrate and support nGenera’s Knowledgebase software, which is widely used by customers deploying the Talisma CRM product. Campus Management will own the Talisma brand, and nGenera will retain ownership of Talisma’s CIM (Customer Interaction Management) software product and business, which aligns with its vision for on-demand business solutions. In effect, customers using Talisma CRM software will now be served by Campus Management, while nGenera continues to serve and expand its CIM line of business.
“Talisma CRM is a robust and proven suite that accelerates our CRM program,” said Timothy B. Loomer, President and CEO of Campus Management Corp. “Talisma’s people bring tremendous experience in software development, services, and sales and marketing, all of which we need to fuel Campus Management’s growth. The acquisition is a logical way for Campus Management to expand our ecosystem of solutions, and to build our capacity to develop, market and deliver more innovations to our customers.”
“We are extremely proud of the Talisma brand and the significant business we have established in North America, India and abroad,” said Steve Papermaster, President, CEO and chairman of nGenera Corporation. “For nGenera, this was an important opportunity to further focus on our on-demand platform for customers, talent, and leadership, while placing our customers and people from the Higher Education CRM part of the CRM part of the business into very good hands with Campus Management.”
“The usage of CRM in the higher education market is evolving rapidly and CRM will soon be a required component of how institutions engage with a broad range of constituents across the entire student lifecycle,” said Nicole Engelbert, Lead Analyst of Vertical Markets Technology for Datamonitor. “Datamonitor, therefore, believes that the boundary between CRM and the Student Information System will need to blur in order to provide a truly complete view of the student experience. The bringing together of Campus Management and Talisma’s CRM business is a giant leap towards enabling this view for institutions and the more effective management of constituent relationships.”
