Talisma Releases CRM 7.2 Enabling More Personalized Constituent Communication

Bellevue, WA – October 9, 2007 – Talisma® Corporation (www.education.talisma.com), a leading provider of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, today announced the availability of Talisma CRM 7.2, the next edition of the most innovative and comprehensive multi-channel CRM solution for higher education on the market. Talisma CRM 7.2 includes over 20 new features and enhancements, including the addition of a payment gateway, and SMS text messaging and emergency notification. The new solution is certified for Microsoft Vista, and Microsoft Office 2007.

The announcement comes after industry analyst firm Datamonitor named Talisma as one of the elite providers of CRM for higher education. With this latest product, the company reiterates it commitment to helping institutions provide exceptional constituent experiences.

Some of the several new features of Talisma CRM 7.2 include:

SMS Text Messaging:
Institutions will be able to utilize SMS text messaging as a component of their mass communication plans, allowing them to reach out to constituents using SMS Campaigns that can send personalized messages broadcast using the Talisma Campaign module. For example, a university changes the timing for a recruiting event; it will then be able to notify all attendees through an SMS blast about the updated timing, based on segmenting prospects by the region or by more specific class criteria if applicable.

Talisma’s workflow allows an institution to immediately follow-up a SMS text blast with an email version of the same message to ensure delivery of important notifications. The “Rush” SMS option enables users to push priority messages out ahead of ordinary communication messages.

Payment Gateway:
CRM 7.2 will enable universities to provide around-the-clock service for online event registration and payments and have all the transaction information stored in Talisma instantaneously. Enabling online payments means you no longer have to worry about employing some one to physically collect payments and also reduces the amount of checks to be dealt through mail and trying to figure out the accounts to which the check goes into. This will also help in streamlining the process, avoiding errors, managing accounts effectively and significantly reducing the paperwork. This way Students, Prospects, Alumni, Faculty and others will have a convenient and pleasant experience in registering for an event or even making donations over the web. CRM 7.2 provides the flexibility to integrate with any Payment Gateway of your choice.

Enhanced Campaign Module:
Talisma users will have the ability to send email to a secondary email address using the Talisma Campaign module resulting in a higher success rate in reaching out to their targets. Users will be able to select the email address to which the campaign has to be sent. Additionally, there will be tighter integration between event management and the campaign module allowing the user to utilize event properties in a campaign.

Talisma Web Access:
Browser based access will enable users to access Talisma through the Internet from anywhere in the world. Talisma Web Access will have a subset of the features available in the Talisma desktop client. This will allow recruiting staff working in remote locations to use Talisma to view contacts, log their field activities, and view reports without the need to install additional software or carry additional hardware.
