Bellevue, WA – February 7, 2007 – Talisma® Corporation (www.education.talisma.com), the leading provider of Multi-channel Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) solutions for higher education, announced today that The Ohio State University has selected Talisma Multi-channel CRM for Higher Education to help the university transform the operations of the OSU Undergraduate Admissions and First Year Experience (UAFYE) department. Talisma will enable Ohio State to improve the critical communication process to its constituents for prospective student recruiting by enhancing their ability to personalize communications through consolidation and segmentation of constituent data.

“Talisma’s Multi-channel CRM solution will improve our recruitment process and elevate the number of quality students that enroll at Ohio State,” said Mabel Freeman, Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Admissions and First Year Experience at The Ohio State University. “Our university is already a highly competitive academic environment. In 2006, we were able to admit only 65% of the applicants. By enabling us to further segment data in order to automate and personalize communications sent to prospective students, Talisma will help us identify our best candidates and speed communications while enhancing the experience. This will allow us to further strengthen our reputation as a leading institution, while making our staff and resources more effective.”

In addition to personalizing and standardizing communications, Talisma will enable Ohio State to manage contact data from multiple data sources, which includes data passing through the PeopleSoft SIS, and automate the communication workflow process. UAFYE staff will initiate correspondence and respond to inbound inquiries from prospective students through Talisma’s email, phone logging, and marketing modules. Ohio State also plans to manage inquiry Web forms and event registration by using Talisma’s Web form generator and events object, both new to the recently released Talisma CRM 7.1.

“This year OSU will again see an increase in inquiries of top-notch students. Universities with large volumes require a competitive edge to secure those highly valued target prospects,” said Craig Stanford, V.P. of Higher Education for Talisma. “By selecting Talisma, Ohio State is making a strong statement to competing universities that they are serious about enrolling the best and the brightest. We’re excited to see what we can accomplish by helping them get additional value from their PeopleSoft deployment, and look forward to continuing to improve the quality of education and reputation of The Ohio State University.”

Built on proven best practices, Talisma Multi-channel CRM for Higher Education ensures that academic institutions cost-effectively meet strategic enrollment, student services, retention, and advancement goals. In addition, Talisma Multi-channel CRM for Higher Education helps build one-to-one relationships with prospects, existing students, donors, and alumni networks and enables personal interaction across its entire broad base of constituents.
